What you need:
1. MDF - Queen Recommended Size: 62" w x 74" h, King Recommended Size: 84" w x 72" h
2. 1" Foam - for padding
3. Staple Gun & Staples
4. Fabric - for a Queen 4 yards, for a king 5 yards
5. Hammer
6. Nails
4 Easy Steps:
1. Staple gun your foam to the MDF make sure you wrap it around the edges. Make sure you are using 1/4" or 1/2" staples otherwise it will not hold.
2. Staple your fabric to the foam
3. If you are feeling extra crafty you can add a nail head detail to the edges.
4. Hammer your headboard to the wall
Very easy folks, you can do it.
